Our signature
Prime local beef rests uncovered in our dry aging chamber, lined with blocks of Himalayan pink salt. The salt draws out moisture and keeps the air clean while natural enzymes tenderise the meat, giving a rounder, sweeter, more intense flavour.
Every steak is cut to order at the counter, to the thickness you want.

A family butchers on The Diamond since 1984
McCarron's Butchers was established in Raphoe in 1984 and has stood on The Diamond, in the very centre of town, ever since. Four decades on it's still family run, still hand-cutting at the counter, and still supplying both local households and wholesale kitchens across Donegal and the North West. You'll now find a McCarron's counter in Lifford and Dunfanaghy too.
